Hope everyone had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Not a lot going on at KJS, as we were busy getting ready for our church's trunk or treat and trick or treating around our neighborhood on Halloween night. My boys made the cutest fireman and dalmatian in their little firetruck! Hudson was not feeling his dalmatian ears and looked like a cow without them. Oops! We still had a blast and got lots of candy!!
I lucked out this year and already had everything for the fireman costume from a dress-up fire jacket and hat he received for Christmas a few years ago. I bought him some black sweatpants, and put some colored electrical tape on his rain boots and we were good to go!
I was scouring the internet (at the last minute, of course) to try and find a dalmatian costume. I found this one online and scooped it up! Then it came in the mail and was a bad idea for 2 reasons.....one, it was way too big and two, it was hot and scratchy. If it wasn't 100 degrees in Texas, I MIGHT have been able to make it work. So, at the last minute (again) I ran to Target to see what I could throw together. I found these Paw Patrol Marshall PJ's and bought them because I was pretty much desperate. I came home and decided to try and cover the red part up with white fabric and then make similar black spots to blend in with the rest of the pajamas. Luckily, it worked! Kinda. Without the hat that came with the old costume, he looked like a cow. And of course, he did not want to keep the hat/ears on. I got two pics with the ears. #mamatried
Here's what we ended up with. Don't look too close, you can see where the fabric doesn't entirely cover up the red parts on the side.
